Horses For Lease

From time to time we have horses for lease and for sale, but more often for lease. I discovered long ago that I was lousy at selling horses once I had put some time and training in and bonded with! So instead I decided to create an even better opportunity for others who would like to experience these wonderful creatures without the added commitment and expense that comes with full ownership.

From this kind of experience you would then discover if full ownership of a horse would be the best way to go. We feel that owning horses is a way of life not just a hobby. I have personally witnessed too many horses being tossed around from home to home or abandoned for reasons that could have been avoided.

With our horses for lease we are striving to ensure that the horses well being is the first priority. In other words, we are not renting out a machine but offering you the privilege of experiencing a sentient being who will offer you knowledge and wisdom.

These are our personal horse’s that have extensive training experiences to offer you. Preference will be given to those who really want to spend quality time with horses and learn how they think and feel and play from the ground (safety first!) rather than those who just want to use a horse to ride without ground skill or training knowledge.

Our goal is to teach you the secrets of The Horse Whisperer!

Horses for Lease

horses for lease Sweet Pea has a very quiet disposition and is great for beginners. She has many special talents and is a great trail riding horse. She is full of motherly like wisdom and teaches from the heart. She is a 16 yr. old Standardbred who has never raced and was only used to produce offspring. I went to go see her 9 years ago now with the intention of only buying one horse and ended up buying her daughter Little Bit (see next horse) because of the conditions they were in. There is only 2 years difference in their ages so that told me Sweet Pea was bred far too early.
horses for lease This is Little Bit, she is the daughter of Sweet Pea and also has a very quiet disposition well suited for beginners. Little Bit is really fun to play with because she is very curious. She is kind and gentle and is always up to learning something new.She is also great on the trails. When I went to see Sweet Pea, Little Bit was there malnourished with a yearly by her side. That’s how I ended up taking them both! I had full intentions of training Little Bit and finding her a new home, but as I said, I fell in love, couldn’t do it, and that’s how I discovered I was lousy at selling horses!

These two are always up for a Clicker Training game! They just love their food!

See what I mean!
