A Free Reiki Attunement

If you are really new to what Reiki is, then I suggest looking into getting a book. But not just any book (there are so many wonderful ones out there), but the book that resonates with you most. You go about this by feeling with your heart chakra, in other words, feeling with your gut not so much with your mind. It’s the book you discover that makes you feel the most inspired and feels right for you that you get. To see some book recommendations Click here. They all cover the history and explanation regarding what it is and how to go about doing it. So for this reason I don’t want to repeat what’s already easily available. Instead I will jump right into the attunement process.

The Reiki Attunement Process

Here’s how to begin. Spend at least 10 to 15 minutes do this.

Find a quiet place to sit, whether it is in a chair with both feet touching the floor or if you prefer to sit cross legged in a lotus position on the floor that’s fine too. Place your hands in the prayer position close to your chest, close your eyes and breathe in and out deeply yet softly.

With each breath, focus upon all of life’s universal energy coming down from above moving into the top of your head and filtering down your spine out through to the earth beneath you. Just sit with this for a few minutes until you feel yourself become one with all of nature and life.

Now say softly to yourself (or your personal version of it), "I invite all of life’s universal energy to enter and open my heart, mind and soul to this energy of love so I may become a conduit to offer this healing energy to myself and others."

Imagine all of life’s love is placing hands upon your shoulders helping this energy to flow to you and opening you up to receive it.

If you are familiar with the colors of the chakras then focus upon each one individually until the colors feel powerful and strong. Otherwise, think about a beautiful rainbow caressing the skyline burning bright with the powerful essence of inspiration and beauty.

Sit with this for as long as it pleases you and feels good. Only you will know how long that is.

You will at some point have a feeling of completion or satisfaction that all is done for now and you may open your eyes. Thank the universe.

Congratulations, you are now able to offer Reiki to the world! There are no limits including Reiki on animals, plants and your home.
