Sommersby Ranch has been a lifelong dream which has come to fruition.

I grew up watching western movies with my dad and from an early age I have been mesmerized by cowgirls and what they stood for, honor, courage, loyalty, strength and sheer grit being amongst their most prized attributes.

Sommersby Ranch encompasses, albeit on a small scale, the same belief systems and values of the cowgirls who roped more out of life and shaped the Wild West.
Using horses as my partners in teaching and healing, I facilitate 'cowgirl camps' for girls from 7-17 years of age.

The emphasis of our curriculum is based on teaching, through the biblical 'Fruits of the Spirit,' relationship building whether with horses, people and all nature.

Combining basic horsemanship with spiritual values provides young girls with a solid foundation to achieve their personal best and grow up as authentic young women - an attribute of every genuine Cowgirl!
Today, with much focus placed on academic skills, it is imperative that young girls are also taught about ethical awareness, spiritual values and life skills that will empower them as young adults.
This is what we aim to achieve with our Buckaroo and Cowgirl Programs.

To grow a worldwide network of spiritually aware cowgirls we created the Cowgirl Sisterhood and through our Wild@Heart Ministry we aim to bring young girls a better understanding of God, His ways, and His character.
