The Escape!

Lucky the horse.
My sister and I were taking her loan pony, Lucky, on a hack. We were heading back through a narrow bridal path; my sister was leading him, she was about to get on him when he spooked at some cows!
She was positioned in between a fence and Lucky, fortunately, she managed to hop off just as he gave an almighty pull and started galloping toward where we were heading for. We both started running after him but it was no good, we'd never catch him up.
The end of the bridal path had no gate and it turned on to a busy road! The phone then rang, it was my Dad asking if the horse had run off. We were imagining a dead horse in the middle of the road. We suddenly turned and ran down the road, there was a lady ahead with her car parked near by; she shouted at us, "Is that your horse that just ran past?" We nodded and she offered us a lift saying he had sprinted down the road and turned towards the village.
We got out shortly and thanked her, we were slightly relieved. My sister and I ran the rest of the way towards a field, behind a home where the vicar lived. We spotted our Dad and his friend, David, near the gate. Luckily the owner wasn't too freaked out or angry. She said it was because he was missing his friend and he was scared of cows and even more strange, he was scared of rain!
It was a close call, and the talk of the evening over dinner!
