Time With Horses

When we play with each other,
I find true time,
Like a whispering wind,
You are always on my mind.

What is this thing we call time?
Is it now, is it then?
Can we hold it, squeeze it, or shape it?
What then?

I can only tell you what is true,
That time stands still when I’m with you.
Our time together is what matters,
For you are my inspiration, my friend and my laughter.

Let the world change and time go on,
I will be at your side from dusk til dawn.
There is never a day that does by,
That I don’t sit and wonder why,
How truly fortunate my life has become,
Because you have graced it with your time to come.

There is only time that we have right now,
So I take this moment and pledge this vow,
My guardianship to you is forever,
I promise not to waste time while we are together.
